This hands-on approach to learning will help your students better understand their study of plants and animals.

Your class’s one-hour guided tour includes the following learning stations:
* Life Cycles & Butterfly Garden
* Bee’s Buzz (observational beehive)
* Bull Frog Pond- Tadpoles & Frogs
* Birds recycle so can you!
* Planting Experience- What plants need to grow?
* Where’s the worm?

Points of discussion:
* Benefits of Plants & Animals to our Environment
* Different Habitats and Camouflage for Animals
* How Seeds Travel

Students will be able to plant seeds, see examples of the parts of a plant and discover what plants need to grow. Field trip guides stress the importance of nature and the benefits that plants have on the environment. The students will visit a weather station, worm and bee habitats and see live examples of the life cycles of frogs, birds and butterflies. Every child will receive a peacock feather to remember their experience. The guided program takes approximately one hour. If your time allows, your group is welcome to stay for self-guided play time with the animals and at the playground.
