Frontier Culture Museum
Staunton, VA

The Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, Virginia offers homeschool families the opportunity to learn history in the way that homeschoolers learn best - through active involvement in the day-to-day activities of the past. Students are encouraged to participate in cooking, gardening, wool and flax processing and animal care.

Special events can also be found throughout the year, just for homeschool families, with reduced rates offered for early registration and on the day of the events. Winter Workshops are also available January through February and are designed with homeschoolers in mind. Classes include blacksmithing, cooking, woodworking and much more.

For groups of 15 or more interested in setting up a specific program, the Museum’s Group Reservationist will work with you to create a memorable experience! For additional information contact the museum at (540) 332-7850.
